Ready Idaho Coalition

Ready Idaho Collaborative Community Pages & Virtual Site Tours - Erika Lewis recently created Community Pages on Idaho AEYC’s website to feature news, program information, regional statistics, action plans, and other information on the early learning collaboratives. This is a great resource with a lot of great information. I encourage you all to check it out here: https://idahoaeyc.org/elc-communities. Some of these pages also feature the virtual site tours that Idaho AEYC and Idaho Voices for Children created. So far, we have virtual site tours for American Falls, Marsing, Sandpoint, and Notus-Parma. Here is one example: https://idahoaeyc.org/notus-elc

I encourage you to take a look at these videos and share them far and wide. I would like to thank Derek Farr with Idaho Voices for Children for figuring out how to film these remotely and all the program staff who recruited parents, handled logistics, and provided the b-roll for these videos.

Advocacy and Lobbying Resource for ECE - Lastly, I would like to share a resource on advocacy and lobbying created by Alliance for Early Success. This recorded presentation, “Early Childhood Advocates and Funders Learn to Say Yes to Lobbying,” gives some great guidance on what kind of advocacy and lobbying is permissible for 501c3s. I know many of you are well versed in this area or your organizations already have clear guidelines that address this, but I have heard from some that there is reluctance to engage in certain types of advocacy for fear of crossing legal lines or appearing to be too political. Hopefully, you find this video informative: https://earlysuccess.org/nonprofit-lobbying-webinar/.
