Infectious Disease Monitoring Sources

Where does RSV data come from?

Recent data for Idaho is available on the Idaho Health & Welfare website http://healthandwelfare.idaho.gov/Health/DiseasesConditions/RSV/tabid/201/Default.aspx.

For preparation of “Local Trends” on this site, Idaho Health & Welfare website, Oregon Public Health website, Primary Childrens Hospital/Intermountain Health Care/Germwatch website, and emailed data from Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital Spokane are reviewed.

For historical onset and end of RSV season since 2000, St. Luke’s Health System labs based in Boise has been used. In some years, other sites in our region may differ some weeks in onset and end of RSV season compared to Boise.

Dr. Tom Rand maintains the webpage, and any suggestions can be emailed to randt@slhs.org.

The website was originally constructed with support of a one-time grant from Medimmune (now Astra Zeneca).
